Tee for a Tree

Going to Costa Rica to participate in a tree planting and meet some of the children that did artwork for the Rain Tee collection was truly amazing. I love being able to say to people that I have seen where their tree will be planted and that its helping sustain and grow some of the most gorgeous rain forest imaginable.

I feel it’s so important to be actively involved in the organizations and charities that Rain Tees works with across Central America and the Amazon and I know I learn the most from being immersed in these cultures and surrounded by the environmental issues these societies are forced to deal with every day. Throughout our trip I saw issues such as wildlife extinction, agricultural expansion and pollution and issues with the oil industries continuing to explore deeper into our delicate jungles.

While in Costa Rica we stayed right in Manuel Antonio at the Mono Azul,  which is an eco friendly hotel where our charity, KSTR,  that does the tree planting for each Rain Tee sold, is headquartered. The Mono Azul,  is three hours south of San Jose by bus and sits right at the top of Manuel Antonio National Park -which is basically in the heart of the Costa Rican Jungle and known as one of the most spectacular national parks in the world!
